The Right Strategy is the Key to Getting Ahead & Staying Ahead
By: Jackie Williams
Have You Considered Executive Coaching?
Coaching is a powerful, collaborative relationship between an experienced professional (the coach) and a willing executive or professional (the client) which enables the attainment of extraordinary outcomes through a process of discovery, goal setting, and strategic actions.
How Coaching Works:
The client sets the desired outcome for the session, and client and coach work together to discover possibilities, plan actions, and identify and remove barriers to reaching this outcome.
I coach around the following steps as we work together to evaluate the business issues at hand. These steps are from my forthcoming book on professional women, titled Inner Lives of Power Babes: Secrets Revealed.
- S is for Surroundings
- Step 1: Create a productive and effective working environment.
- T is for Ties
- Step 2: Form strong business and personal relationships.
- R is for Revision
- Step 3: Expand your possibilities and think like an entrepreneur.
- A is for Appraisal
- Step 4: Keep your values in sight.
- T is for Tactics
- Step 5: Design the life you really want.
- E is for Extraordinary
- Step 6: Leverage your abilities.
- G is for Gamble
- Step 7: Take risks with your career—stretch yourself.
- Y is for Yen
- Step 8: Envision your success.
Over time, individual outcomes build on each other to enable you to attain strategic insights that will take you to the next level. My coaching is results-oriented. Whether you’re currently employed or looking to keep your skills sharp, coaching can help. Executive coaching can bring a softer touch to the agonies of career decisions. Together with a coach, you can tackle hard questions in a supportive environment. If you’re making a lateral move, you can learn to apply the steps above to increase your chance of success. Together, we can work on what your dream is, and you can begin to realize it.
